Meet the 2021 ANSA Fellowship Recipients

We are excited to announce the scholars in the 2021 cohort of the ANSA Fellowship Program. The profiles of these scholars are listed below alphabetically.

Adewale Babatunde

Adewale Babatunde holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, with a cumulative grade point average of 4.90 on a scale of 5.00. He finished as the second best-graduating student in his class, with over 6 national scholarships and academic awards. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and conduct research on renewable energy systems especially relating to improved solar energy conversion and storage.







Amos Ogunola


Amos Ogunola is a development economist with a vast experience working on a great deal of development projects in the agriculture and education sector, with specific focus on Sub Saharan African countries. Amos holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He believes everyone has a quota and role to play in nation building and is actively involved in a lot of volunteering activities and community service. He is also passionate about causes that promotes the value chains in agriculture and technology development aimed at improving food security in Africa.


Faizah Alabi


Faizah Alabi is an Industrial and Pharmaceutical Chemist. Her research interest is focused on understanding disease pathogenesis and networks, that can be manipulated to improve prognosis in drug discovery and delivery in infectious diseases. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ilorin. After serving her country as a Chemistry Teacher, she proceeded to the prestigious University of Lagos, where she bagged a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a distinction. She is currently a Medical Representative with Fidson Healthcare Plc. In her leisure time, she is an active volunteer for various non-profit organizations.




Olanrewaju Ayorinde


Olanrewaju Ayorinde holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Ayorinde aspires to pursue a Doctoral degree in Political Science with a specialty in Public Administration and Public Policy. “I am a diligent and highly-focused Political Science graduate with a background that has exposed me to a variety of administrative issues, governance needs, and management opportunities”.
